It features grand master painters from across the world along with a host of emerging artists. Currently there are over 80 artists from 28 countries.

The project seeks bursaries and non-interest loans to give life to the deck. This venture is a key step in manifesting the foundations that will enable the production of a full 144 card deck with 100 artists from 32 countries in the not-too-distant future. Once this new microset is completed Dew Press will become an official non-profit and apply for a large arts Grant, intending to end the dependence of the project on no-interest loans. Not only is this a final stepping stone for the project, but it will give me enough stock to ensure effortless payoff of all past debts incurred.

The new microset will feature the oracle and gaming aspect of the project, unlike the last 4 card set which was all free agents. With one card per suite, it will demonstrate the potentials and math of the full oracle deck. The cards will also be totally compatable with the 52 card deck and additions already released. These new shards of the microgallery will include high vibrational production values and art from masters on 5 different continents.

Ernst Fuchs (www.ernstfuchs-zentrum.com) Europe
Brigid Marlin (www.brigidmarlin.com) Europe
Alex Grey (www.alexgrey.com) North America
Wolfgang Grasse (beinart.org/artists/wolfgang-grasse) Oceania
Minae Takada (www.minae.info) Asia
Moises Llerena (www.moisesllerena.net) South America

It will have packaging featuring art from

Andrew Gonzalez (www.sublimatrix.com) North America
Roberto Venosa (www.venosa.com) North America

The packaging will include a short essay by
fabled Professor Philip Rubinov Jacobson www.rubinovs-lightning.com
and the Elf Himself Erik Davis www.techgnosis.com

Printed on conscious post-consumer recycled paper with eco style post-plastic laminant, the whole project will be entirely biodegradable.

I have full confidence this project will not only be able to recover any debts it incurs but also to help address past debts the project is still carrying.

I need to raise $5000 to make this project possible.
Here are some different forms of support that I am seeking.

avatar funding : $1000 in no interest 2-3 year elfinloan - I am thrilled to be part of this illuminating project. This integral vision and production becomes an illuminating cauldron of Promethean fire. Delvin’s awareness that the artist can, if the arduous work has been accomplished, sit down to express the spirit and create a transformative effect on an audience is central in his multiple endeavors. And every time we take out his 'deck' we dip into the reader beauty of our own tomorrow, we are developing more of our own greater potential, brief but glorious glimpses of which speak to us through a visionary and integral art.

Like consciousness cartographers integral visionary artists hone the tools of self awareness and the skills with which to use fine art as alchemical formulae for transformation. The most genuine Visionary art, like a healthy spirituality, is free from addiction, dependence on any additives, or crutches and avoidance and is characterized by an openness and willingness to face reality. An integral art expresses our humanity, diversity and our divinity, our frailty and our strength, our darkness and our light. It inspires reverence for life and enhances our capacity
for love, peace, and joy. It affects our inner and outer worlds and has far-reaching personal, social and cultural implications via its inspirational impact and fusion of experience. This integrated spirituality supports freedom, autonomy, self-esteem, and social responsibility. It does not deny our humanity, or depend on suppression or denial of emotions, sexuality or the beliefs of others. It is inclusive; it is not exclusive. Art is a fluid and sacred language that speaks to us, not only with a resonating solace and serenity but also with a powerful potential for transformation. It can be a sword of fiery change.

the kings daydream : art by Philip Rubinov Jacobson

Spirit directs artistic practice in transcending our limited and frozen identities toward a more expansive experience of our self and infinite nature. The work produced increasingly reflects a deeper and richer language of the soul. This visual language also acts as symbols and signs for the creative worker to act as a microcosmic reflection of macrocosmic principles in the universal process of grand creation. For modern conventional scientists, creatures of rational thinking and, for the most part, still enveloped in the 17th century age of ‘Enlightenment‘, claims of mystical awakenings and non-ordinary states of consciousness has long been addressed as self-deception, charlatanism, chemical occurrences in brain matter, mental disorder, gullibility, or all of the above. Non-conceptual thinking is often hard to describe in words. Still, it fires up a description, or subtle picture of intuition, aesthetic experiences, inspiration, and the indescribable feelings attached to phenomena such as doing complex mathematics, feeling love or grief, experiencing ecstatic visions and finding spiritual enlightenment. This disinterested play of consciousness wherein one ’loses oneself’ to the state of ’no I’ is also the fertile ground of creativity, genius, ART and transformation.

The artist's compelling nature and need to create forms, to experience the fusion of matter and spirit in an object can eventually dissolve into the experience of becoming all forms. In time, the artist who has worshiped God as Beauty, becomes what he or she has been meditating on all along, seemingly for eons, and so Beauty also becomes God. The soul realizes what it was all along. The artistic soul in its constant attempt to fuse self, spirit and matter in a single object called ‘art,’ finally fuses self with all objects, sees beauty everywhere all at once, in all matter, in all spirit, in all forms. The artist becomes Beauty. This stage of consciousness is acquired not by way of observation, but by way of participation in the artistic fusion between spirit and matter.

the art angel : art by Philip Rubinov Jacobson

The visionary artist exclaims, indeed, we may all exclaim: I am the Absolute, the smile and the sorrow, the lion and the sparrow. We are gazing out of every face; we are carved out of the same ONE light. The ecstatic experience can be a blissful intoxication of sorts, and at the same time offer a crystal clear flash of awareness. Now whether as a painter or a plumber, you look out at the world of forms from the ecstatic eyes of formlessness. You see forever and there is this push toward self-discovery that returns you to total remembrance. You awake and realize that you are on a great pilgrimage that leads back to where you started, to who and what you always were and already are right now, will always be and what you are becoming. This is a significant tool to help us on that journey of remembrance.

oracle complex

Galactik Trading Card
Oracle Complex
L. Caruana

Anyone visiting my studio here in Paris is entering, unaware, into a galactik plot designed to assassinate their everyday ego and deliver them, through a willful act of sheer serendipity, to their higher, unknown self. For a pack of the Galactik Trading Cards sits, sphinx-like, on a shelf near my easel - awaiting its next victim.

Inevitably, a visitor approaches and inquires, "What's this?" - drawn to Pandora's Box by the intriguing images, the arcane symbols and oracular texts engraved upon its cover. "Check it out..." I prompt, and within seconds the key turns, the cosmic mechanism engages, and the Oracle Complex begins.

Curious as Pandora herself, my guest peers at the contents. Image after image flashes past her eyes, their order and arrangement seemingly left to chance. Venosa, Hoffmann, Grey - their works file past, all well-known to the Visionary initiate. But surprisingly beautiful, indeed, masterful images from lesser-known artists also take form in the shadows - graphic art, graffiti, computer generated images...

Intrigued, my guest presses on, drawn onward by some higher, unseen power. Without her knowing, each card has been carefully designed, and contains within its frame a momentary epiphany, a seismic revelation seized at the height of entheogenic experience, then translated into forms and colours by the artist to please exactly her psychic disposition...
My visitor keeps flipping through the cards, still unaware of the epiphany that awaits. Suddenly, she stops. "Hey, look at this one..." A leap of intuition, a spark of recognition, a momentary flash - and suddenly, she is there....

From this one card, a galaxy of images spirals outward and explodes: crystalline jewels, kaleidoscopic shapes, vibrating chromodora. Here, a translucent snake entwines with ayahuasca vines; there, bardo beings expand, their faces a geometric mesh of multi-facetted gems.

At that moment, she remembers. Though she is still standing in my studio, seemingly contained within the fleshly envelope of her body, really her spirit is soaring elsewhere. The higher mind has arisen, and momentarily left the narrow confines of the flesh to laugh with the angels, dance with the stars and enter into union with that serene, unseen divinity dwelling, ultimately, in herself.

"Cool..." my visitor remarks, still not fully understanding what has happened.

By what chance turning of Fortune's Wheel did this card, at this moment in time, connect her to her higher self? Did both she and the artist stand before the same doorway to eternity, but at different moments in linear time? Do separate doors of perception share a higher mind? Why did this particular image - its colours, forms and shapes - suddenly resonate, for her, at a higher level... uniting her with the artist in a sudden revelation?

Only the Galactik Oracle Complex holds the keys to the mysteries. ...Shuffle the cards and see for yourself.

Laurence Caruana
The Vine of the Dead
www.lcaruana.com

Entheo Art : The Spirit of a Movement

Delvin Solkinson Elphinstone, BC
written for Realitysandwich.com

in every direction
ten thousand blessings...
croaking frogs

- issa

Entheo Art :
The Spirit of a Movement

All cultures and movements have some relationship to the divine aspects of the human creative imagination. Whether emerging as religiosity, rites or rituals, spiritual practices or cultural modalities, evidence of the divine spirit in the form of art is a perennial and cross-cultural expression of human culture. From alien beings to mystical landscapes, strange new expressions and novel perspectives on the world of the mundane made magical, Entheo Art brings a supernatural realm from the internal creative imagination into the world of shared cultural artifacts. This many fabled art genre externalizes imaginal experiences of the Mystery and makes them visible to those without such active conduits to the divinity at the heart of the human.

The visionary, psychedelic, surreal, fantastic and religious artists of our time find themselves in a deeply dynamic plot twist in the story lines of our world. Today artists may be influenced by a growing global history of art available on the web at a touch of the finger. Endless different depictions of spirits and blessed landscapes reveal some interesting similarities between artistic movements from radically different times and different cultures. Expressions of vibrant light and color, winged beings and strange flying objects are just a few of the threads that link Entheo Art to a weave that seems to connect up all historical periods and human civilizations.

Gabriel : Art by Daniel Mirante

In our melded multimedia age, depictions of the divine permeate many levels of our cultural landscapes, from magazines to movies, clubs to cafes, t-shirts to television shows, galleries, dance halls and web communities like this one. It could be argued that the visionary spirit of Entheo Art, at least in the western world, has influenced the dimensions of everyday life far greater than at any time in the past. Through this manifestation, the West is being primed for a return to a more shamanistic and spiritually charged worldview filled with images and icons celebrating the divine imagination and the great mystery linked through the creative intelligence of a revitalized human community.

Reality Sandwich takes a bite out of these emergent paradigms, providing a planetary forum to explore, expand and evolve dialogues that are helping to shape the very fabric of the future culture. Lit by the endless expansion of the virtual, this visionary meeting ground illuminates invisible lines linking the life of a new kind of novelty in a rapidly transforming world of place and placelessness.

In the light of this perennial artistic tradition comes the galactik trading card oracle complex, an Entheo Art microgallery featuring modern masters of the genre as well as a new generation of fresh artistic intelligence. Connecting a cross cultural array of visual lore through paint and pixel, this spirit culture community building initiative celebrates facets of the divine imagination as expressed in art. Dappled in the metapoetiks, this oracular toolset connects the tarot, yi jing, dreamspell calendar and chakra system into an interpenetrating mathematic of sacred symbols and bardic song lines. Whether traded like baseball cards, set into altars as ritual objects, reorganized into micro-galleries on walls or lockers, or cast in divination rites, this colorized collection of creative culture provides a host of wonder to a world ripe with the possible. A shimmering afterimage of the eschaton sent spiraling back through time, these adventures into the Entheo represent yet another celestial side dish served up with this soul satiating reality sandwich.

Delvin Solkinson
www.elvism.net

Dream and Destiny : Spirit Forging in the Future Culture

Delvin Solkinson Elphinstone, BC
written for Beinart.org

Dream and Destiny:
Spirit Forging in the Future Culture

Our cusp culture is borne into an age of deep transformation, ripe with new avenues for expression and artistic evolution. Fueled by the worldwideweb and vast evolutions in the quality of communications technologies, artists everywhere are being empowered to share their work with an increasingly global audience. Nodes, collectives, forums and galleries are emerging to represent countries, continents and even newly globalized art culture movements. It is a time potentized with the possibility of a civilization reconnected with its imaginal roots in the dreamy expanses of the limitless human imagination. Art culture represents a return to a resacrelized, respiritualized and revitalized future in which the engines of technoindustrial materialism redirect its energies from plastic toys and thing fetishism to immersive multimedia environments and a reconnection with the natural world.

Fractal Feline Filligree : Art by Luke Brown

The entheo art microgallery is a glinting reflection of the emerging planetary art culture. This microgallery and its unfolding galactik trading card oracle complex is a celebration of the inspired spirit of the creative imagination, a collective expression of spirit art at the cusp of culture.

The deck is a pantheon of magical spirits, angels, aliens and entities as well as a splendored vista of sacred landscapes, blessed realms and faieried kindoms. Connected with the tarot, i ching, and dreamspell, this synergetic oracle connects the open spirit of divination with a creatively self-directed process integrating intentionality into peoples own empowered decision making experience. The cards operate as free agents gracing altars and mantles, walls and warehouses, fridges and lockers and, when combined, form a superstructure linking language with life and promoting the creative evolution of the human spirit.

Salvia Dalinorum : Art by Luke Brown

For seven years this non-profit project has grown slowly and with great intention. Each year it has been completely redesigned and expanded. Small print runs which have been hand cut with a razor blade brings a DIY sensibility to the creation of ritual art objects. Last autumn 200 sets of the seventh edition galactik trading card decks were published, half being given away and half being sold to repay no-interest loans to cover printing and design costs. Now the final 32 decks and 20 booster sets from this edition are being released into the world, seeking homes in the four directions. The project also seeks R&D support in the form of no-interest loans to continue its evolution.

.

.

An art card deck celebrating the spirit of the inspired creative imagination. Spirit art explores the creativity at the heart of the human, a sacred expression sharing an ecology of worlds, entities, beings, landscapes and experiences from the more-than-human world. Spirit art crosses over times and places, it is a thread that weaves through the collective history of all human cultures. It links together interconnected art genres including fantastic art, indigenous art, fantasy art, spiritual art, shamanic art, visionary art, entheo art, magical realism, imaginal realism, and surrealism.

Individual cards may grace altars, mantles, fridges and lockers as objects of beauty and ritual tools. Sets of cards can be organized into 'micro-galleries' for displays on walls, workspaces and gallery installations. A full deck of cards may be used an as oracle connecting to a diversity of divinatory systems. The project is an art culture community building initiative intending to inspire the collective evolution of conscious creative process while promoting art and artists worldwide. With access to the knowledge and history of all cultures of the world, what was once separated by distance and language, is now being melded together. We now have access to the history of art from all different artistic traditions. The modern artist is steeped in influences from all artistic genres and art eras. Advances in communications technology means artists who at one time were limited to representing in their own country can now share their work globally. In this way living artistic traditions all over the earth are influencing and being influenced by each other simultaneously. A global art culture is emerging and with it come undreampt of potentials for collaborative artistic evolution. There is a new sheen on the surface of what art means for human culture and what potentials it has to shape the context into which the future culture is being birthed.

Archangel Michael : Art by Daniel Mirante

Since deep in the mists of time, the human creative imagination has been filled with reflections of spirit. Sometimes these came as dreams or visions, in art and song or through the very fabric of ordinary life. Splendored landscapes, mystical beings, sacred forms and heavenly architectures, all shards in a mythology rich with an intelligence of design. All cultural traditions reflect this spirit of the divine imagination, it is at the heart of the human. In our modern media miasma we find a poly-pantheon of entities and blessed realms rich with nuance and meaning. Today such art comes by many names and has many manifestations, some of these art culture movements are ; visionary art, fantastic realism, surrealism, magical realism, psychedelic art, fantasy art, fairy art, religious art, and new age art. Like crystals, the different movements grow out of each other creating an interconnected mass of points and facets. Some see many of these different art culture genres unified by a common exploration into the divine spirit of the creative imagination. Entheo art is a cross-platform description of a non-localized, modern manifestation of this spirited art culture.

It is a time of great transition for our civilization. The planetary art cultures are a celebration of what is past and what is possible, a shamanic bridge between presence and futures. Entheo art is both a vision and a vehicle for spirit, let it invoke a return to a deeper connectedness between the inspired spiritual life of creative production and the textured material life of the approaching technofuturism. Art is a form of life and its working with us to shape the very fabric of what’s to come.

box packaging

the prototype box for GTC 3.0
200 were hand cut, folded and glued into the boxes

galactic games

Erik Davis San Francisco, CA
written for Reality Sandwich

In an earlier post about Jose Argüelles' prophetic calendar game Telektonon, I mentioned a crew of British Columbians I know—an elvish tribe of galactivators and technomystics who reside, appropriately enough, in the vicinity of Mt. Elphinstone, a modest peak along Canada's kindly Sunshine Coast. I have encountered many glowing (and spectral) lights among this loose network—which is really just one node in a widespread, largely West Coast field of post-rave culture creators—and they have often inspired me with visions of a fresh underground, organic and wired and transformative.

One of these culture creators is Delvin Solkinson, an enthusiastic former jock influenced, in roughly equal parts, by permaculture, Elfquest, plant medicines, Taoist poetry, and D&D. Delvin is a fine cook and a dedicated crafter of scenes and rituals, and one of his greatest concoctions is, to give it its full name, the Galactic Trading Card Oracle Complex Entheo Art Microgallery. This visionary artifact combines elements of the Tarot, the Dreamspell, and a trading card art catalog, creating a gorgeous and deeply millennial chunk of meta-programming soultech.

The Oracle Complex, which has seen various editions, permutations, and booster packs come and go, is now available in a more or less complete package. Despite the high quality of conception and design, it is still a very DIY affair (the package the deck comes in, for example, is a bit shoddy), but the quality of handcraft adds something as well.

Atlantean Bass Hub : Art by Aaron Rix

The graphic design for the deck and the website was carried out by Delvin's friend and partner Sijay James, another resident of the Elphinstone. A more technophilic yang to Delvin's plantmind yin—or, to borrow from the name of one of their earlier projects, a crystal to his spore—Sijay crafts images that feel like interfaces to the multiverse, or blueprints for a cyborganic future that might actually come to pass. Sijay also had a major hand in the design of techgnosis.com, which he created with an extraterrestrial web prodigy named Phong, another Sunshine Coast resident who is spearheading a high-profile animation project that's just about to bear some intoxicating fruit.

Delvin and Sijay know a lot of visionary artists, and on one level, the Oracle Complex is a way to give them some props. On the front of each laminated card is a full-bleed image, offering a little slice of entheogenic space. Some of the contributors are older and well-established visionary artists like Alex Grey, Robert Venosa, Paul Laffoley, and Martina Hoffman; others, like Vibrata Chromodoris, Mars-1, and Luke Brown, are just on the verge of blowing up.

Left Coast Liquid : Art by Aaron Rix

The visionary art community is also very self-consciously a community, and this comes through the gathering of all these artists, and the fact that rawer, younger creators just finding their voice are included as well. On their own, some of these images might seem crude and derivative of well-trodden psychedelic doodles. But gathered together into a laminated microgallery, they offer another reminder of how a shared field of imagination can help invoke community—for in these postmodern days, community, and especially “tribal” community, is always in some sense an imagined one.

The back of the cards is where Delvin and Sijay's elfspell kicks in. Like the Tarot, Oracle cards have their own elemental suits (Crystals, Glyphs, Keys, Orbs), plus a major arcana of Portals. The numerology of the cards draws from Tarot and Arguelles' Dreamspell; I Ching trigrams, chakras, Platonic solids, and Mayan numbers are also involved. There are poems, shout-outs, and what Delvin calls “the lightship,” or name of the card. But rather than come off as some murky New Age soup, the design, words and organization of the Oracle complex suggest a map, or rather a meta-map. Not a specific worldview—Taoist or PLUR or Jedi—but an interdimensional cartography, a cosmic permaculture.

There is something alien or estranged about the Oracle complex, like Vulcan chess or the objets d'art in David Lynch's Dune. As with Argüelles' Dreamspell, you get a sense of mathemagical density, of some prophetic arcana at work—something only Taoist mountain sages and Pleiadian neuropathworkers would understand. But Delvin's deck is an open system, without edges or totalities. Use it however you may use it—for altar icons, or random gifting, or divination. It does not lock you in. That might not make it the greatest oracle or the greatest game. But it makes a most enchanted artifact, because it suggests connection and possibility without end—pregnant glyphs, wandering codes.

visionary art emergence

Daniel Mirante Hove, UK

Strange and organic forms are left behind in the wake of the transpersonal experience, the entheogenic experience. Some of these new forms, these primordial forms, forms of the psyche restored to nature, liberated from small-time stories and agendas, are represented here, in this sacred tool of the galactic complex.

The visionary art emergence is evoking human potentials, powerfully sidestepping the written word, making it undeniable that there are vast realms for humans to grow into and explore. Why are things the way they are? What will happen in the future?

These are ancient questions that can be answered in countless ways. It is the form the questioning and the answers take that transform through time, but the desire to know these answers is timeless.

Ancient Chinese shamans sought to peer deep into themselves and their world. They had noticed that the shells of turtles would form unique patterns of cracks when burning in a fire. These cracks would then be interpreted by the shamans, mostly likely while they were in trance, so they could derive the answers. Over time, patterns of cracks became codified and eventually, the I Ching was born, blending ancient shamanism and oracular magick. Much later, in the Roman west, priests would divine the future using the liver and entrails of birds.

The human curiosity at the root of these practices is the same. Through observation and concentration we can access deeper facets of ourselves and by seeing beyond our limited ego consciousness we may become receptive to subtle information from our subconscious mind. While the methods used vary, the results can be identical. These practices evolved organically through time and were maintained because of they worked. We are no different in form or mind than our ancient ancestors, we can empower ourselves with the same receptivity to nature and the vastness of our collective unconscious. It does not matter your citizenship, religion or ancestry - these are human yearnings and practices - and the knowledge and wisdom is available to all ardent seekers.

Tlaloc : Art by Nemo Boko

So, this brings us now to the Galactik Trading Cards. Each card represents many things, from the striving and talent of the artist, to the meaning behind the art, to the artful poetiks on the reverse - each adds facets and depth to every card and the more you search, the more you shall discover. The Galactik Trading Cards represent a collaborative and oracular synthesis of traditions to bring the seeker into greater awareness and receptivity to oracular consciousness. Ultimately, the wisdom and interpretation comes from from within, no matter how profound and powerful the tools.

Before going into potential spreads, lets first discuss the suites of the cards. Traditionally in Western Tarot esoteric traditions the cards were broken into elemental suites that roughly corresponded to:

Fire - active principals, creativity, masculine strength
In the GTC, this is reflected in the suite known as Keys.

Air - intellectual principals, analysis, thoughts
In the GTC, this is reflected in the suite known as Crystals.

Water - receptive principals, imagination, femininity in general
In the GTC, this is reflected in the suite known as Glyphs.

Earth - manifest principals, material wealth, fecundity
In the GTC, this is reflected in the suite known as Orbs.

So, with those symbols in mind, take a deep breath and get ready to move into galactik oracular receptivity. For deeper explorations of the suites of the GTC and the Major Arcana please refer to other sections in this booklet.

There are no universal hard and fast rules pertaining to "cartomancy" (card reading), so it is up to you to create something that works best for you. Alternatively, you are welcome to partake of a few of the "old standbys" for card reading. Feel free to adapt the spread or questions so that they suit your needs.

Single Card Draw
This is a very easy and quick method of divination, useful for a daily meditation of a kind of "oracular glance". Before leaving home, upon waking or at some other threshold moment, clear your mind and take a deep breath and pull a card. The card you pulled may have a special message, lesson or prayer for you keep in mind throughout the day

Two Card Draw
This can sometimes be used as a quick way to gauge before and after events or personal relationships with each partner being represented by a single card. While it does not seem like much depth can be explored in this context, sometimes just a small look is all we need time for to realize an important revelation we have kept from our conscious minds.

Three Card Draw
This may be the the most stable of the quick spreads. When one first sees the symbol of Yin and Yang of Taoism, most people see it as two forces, but in fact, it is three. The third is the form and stability of their subtle blending. As two different forces we can use a third card to divine an outcome, valuable lesson or meditation resulting from the blending. This spread can also easily represent past, present and future.

With these spreads it does not matter what you choose to let your cards represent, but it is important that you make that decision /before/ to draw the cards! If you decide after the fact, it is all too easy for the consciousness mind to be resistant to ideas or outcomes. Not all spreads will make perfect sense on a first or even third reading - but the logic of reading must be internally consistent otherwise you might just be playing with chaos!

Celtic Cross Spread
The most common arrangement one come across among modern professional fortune tellers and books on Tarot is the "Celtic Cross" spread of 10 cards. The reason behind this is that it fully, yet succinctly can approach more complicated questions and often supply more nuanced answers. There is a great deal of information on this venerable spread available online; I will only be providing a rough outline of it here. (Its modern root is with A.E Waite - the father of the highly popular Rider-Waite deck)

Each card is to be laid out in order, face down and then flipped either one by one during the reading or all at once after the final card has been laid.

entheography

David Heskin : Seattle, WA
